Was a Joy to be back as I missed last weeks Dynamo Meetup! I am thrilled at the business being passed to the Botanic Laundrette and wish to take this opportunity to thank all the members who have given me breakthrough! Apologies guys for not having a prop that you would correlate with a Laundrette, however, I thoroughly enjoyed your 60 second pitches, several of which were beautifully delivered Scottish performances. Calling all Loyal Listeners at Radio BNI Dynamo! This morning was a triumph for sticking to our 'Day Jobs' with the exception of Davie McConnachie, DMC Fight Fit - who carried off his 60 second ditty with the energy that 'MR T' himself would have been proud! For the rest of us, 'Murdoch' would I'm sure have been happy to share some of his free 'useful' tips! Billy Smith, Ross Harper, our resident Solicitor, gave a concise 10 minute resume with examples of his daily work with the reassurance that there's no legal issue that he couldn't help with - What a Sport! A good guy to have on side! A big thank you to Jason Hewins, Verve, Dynamic Visual Communication for my newly designed and printed business cards and flyers! Love them, love them, love them! See you next week and Colin Inglis, Eagle Contracts Ltd is coming along for his second visit as he knows we're looking for both an electrical and painter/decorator contractor! Absolutely F.A.B. Lots of visitors, excited by what we have to offer their business. For 10 minutes this morning, I had the opportunity present MY BEAUTIFUL Botanic Laundrette to full membership and visitors! My intention was to be creative and believe that I pulled it off! Every member received a LOVE card with bar of Galaxy Bubbles in hope they would enjoy "extra time" with their wife/partner! Hoping the membership WAG'S were excitedly packing their laundry bags earlier this evening Yee Ha..... Imagine my euphoric Cheer when Steven, G1 Cleaning Services, asked if Botanic Laundrette would supply their Serviced Apartment client's with dry cleaning laundrette service! Keen to realise the benefits of Botanic Laundrette, Billy Smith, Ross Harper, Solicitor, asked if I'd dry clean 4 of his suits and Lauren, HSBC Bank, wants her boyfriends kilt de-fluffed of cat hair and dry cleaned-RESULT! The clear benefits of membership at BNI Dynamo! Thank you very much, Steven, Billy & Lauren.

Another fantastic meeting of the Dynamo Chapter this week! Severasl visitors in the room, new membership applications submitted and more than 30 referrals passed amongst members. Fed up with so-called business networking events that are full of hunters, interested only in what they can get out of it? Bored with 'networking' events that are more social than business? Tired of 'networking' events that are all talk and no action and deliver zero ROI? At Dynamo, we socialise at our egualr social events NOT our business mettings and with over £250,000.00 worth of business passed between our members YTD, the effectiveness of our structured approach is clear! Had a fab meeting this morning!! Great to meet the visitors and hear all about their business!! Was passed a referral from John Wilson, gave a referral to Davie and am looking forward to my taster session with Pablo a week tomorrow!! Arranged 1-2-1s with Marek, Scott and have one with John Wilson TBC. I really enjoyed Morag's presentation and thrilled she gained a contract from G1 Cleaning, their Director, Steven Blair was visiting from the Nexis chapter, was good to meet him as well. Another lively and good humoured gathering of the BNI Dynamo Chapter! I think The Destiny Centre is a very suitable venue for our increasing member numbers and will ensure convenience and practicality going forward. I really enjoyed the meet-up this morning and love the new venue!! It gave a more relaxed feel to the meeting as everyone felt more comfortable with more room to move around while networking and enjoying the vast choice of breakfast!! Having organised a couple of 1-2-1's with Jack and Jason and one TBA with Bruce, I'm looking forward to learning more about their businesses and how I can help gain referals for them. Also speaking to DMC re a training session and hoping David can help me with my Marathon Training!! Thanks to Morag and Billy who brought Colin and Rob along as visitors, it was great to meet them and Ewan Cameron too!!

WOW! Another great meeting of the BNI Dynamo chapter, our last in the Thistle Hotel - woopee! I enjoyed the meeting, as did my guest, Katie Drummond (Syme Drummond) due to the informality and diversity of the group. Having been 'sworn in' as an official member I am looking forward to my members success training on 25th May in order to learn more about gaining referrals. I did manage to provide Gary with a referral today and hope to have more for other members next week. After speaking with a couple of people at today's meetup, there may be a couple of opportunities arising for George Square Ltd too - watch this space!!
